Lady Violet Bonham Carter at Dugdale ceremony

May 05, 1958 - Israel -Lady Violet Bonham Carter speaking at the ceremony, with at her right VERA WEISMANN. Many well known personalities of Israel and England attended the ceremony in Balfour Forest, overlooking the Valley of Esdraelon, inaugurating the memorial to B. Dugdale. Dugdale was the eldest niece of the first Earl of Balfour, author of the Balfour Declaration and was mainly responsible for the Balfour Biography. She died on May 15th, 1948 and the inauguration of the Memorial marks the 10th anniversary of her death and of the Proclamation of Israel's Independence
