Laszlo Javor, Hungarian poet and painter, Paris
Oct. 19, 1964 - Poet and Painter; Laszlo Javor whose song Gloomy Sunday made him famous before the war in a reminiscent mood decided to paint the world famous Montparnasse cafe Le Dome'. He came to Paris from his native town of Budapest over thirty years ago with just a violin, a few poems and some paintings for all his luggage, to make a living he used to play violin in Montparnasse cafes.
