Lavrenti Beria sacked from Communist Party in Moscow
Jul. 10, 1953 - Moscow's No. 2 Dismissed from the Communist Party and sent for Trial. Malignant Enemy'. Lavrenti Beria (53) minister of home affairs, secret Police Chief and one of Russia's top three, has been sacked because He tried to destroy the Russian communist party and replace it with a capitalist policy - according to a Soviet Communique issued today. It also announces that the Case of the Criminal activities of L.P. Beria had been passed to the Supreme Court of the Soviet Union. Beria's Successor is Serei Krulov who formerly worked under Beria.
