1968 - Prince Andrew To Join 1st St Marylebone Cub Scout Pack: Prince Andrew is to become a member of the 1st St Marylebone Cub Scout Pack. The St Marylebone Cub Pack which is attached to St Mary's Church, Bryanston Square, has about 20 boys of a variety of nationalities and religious denominations - Church of England, Roman Catholic and Jewish. The Pack, which to date has met at Bryanston Square, will hold future meetings at Buckingham Palace. First occasion is Wednesday, January 10, 1968. This and subsequent Wednesday meetings will be in the Palace's private cinema. Prince Andrew will attend his first Pack meeting on January 24, and it is expected that he will be invested as a Cub Scout soon after his 8th birthday on February 19, 1968. Cub Scout Leader of the 1st St Marylebone Cub Scout Pack is 35-year old Mr Leonard Clark, of Hendon, London, NW9. His assistants will be Mr David Barrett, 21, of St John's Wood, London, and Miss Judith Heden, 19 1/2, of London, WC1.
