Lena Zavaroni, newly discovered child star

Dec. 12 She's A Natural Star - 11 Year Old Lena Shoots To The Top: Just over a year after her discovery on Hughie Green's talent show Opportunity Knocks, 11 year old Lena Zavaroni is now co-starring with top showbiz names and she is now making a series with the Bachelors for TV. Lena, all 4ft 4 1/2 inches, has vivacity, charm and incredible natural talent. Ernest show series is astonished at Lena's natural talent: We call her One-Take Zavaroni, you tell her something once and it's done. As a child star she has to be compared with Judy Garland, because of Judy great warmth and heart. This girl has that too. Lena will be the youngest ever TV series star, she certainly has come a long way and at super speed from her home on the Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland. Lena's parents work in a Rothesay Fish and Chip shop - they both enjoy entertaining at the local pubs and Lena's talent soon became very apparent to them.
