Aug. 08, 1977 - Her 75th Birthday.: Will celebrate on August 22nd, 1977 Leni Riefenstahl, German actress, director, producer and now a photographer. He debut as an actress she gave in 1926 with the film Der Heilige Berg (The Holy Mountain), then followed Der Grosse Sprung (The Great Jump), Die Weisse Holle von Piz Palu (The White Hell of Pis Palu), Sturme uber dem Montblanc (Storms over Mont Blanc), Der Weisse Ruasch (The White Ecstacy), Sos Eisberg (Sos Eisberg) and in the same year Das Blaue Licht (The Blue Light), in which she took part as a producer director and actress, and then followed one of her most famous films Tiefsland (Lowlands). On the occasion of the Olympic Games in 1936 in Berlin Leni Riefenstahl produced as the first female film maker of Germany the Olympic-film Fest der Schonheit/Fest der Volker (Festival of Beauty/Festival of the Nations). After the second world War The Riefenstahl began her career as a photographer with great success. The last of the Nuba (1974) and The People of Kau (1976), for which she got the gold medal of the Art Directors Club of Germany, are the titles of Leni Riefenstahl's African picture-books
