Dec. 12, 1957 - Rescue work goes on in the Lewisham rail crash engineers try to raise the fly-over bridge: The death roll has now reached 92 in Wednesday night's Lewisham rail crash. Rescuers have toiled all night under arc lights and early this morning engineers were trying to raise the wrecked bridge to clear the coach on which the full weight of the fly-over bridge fell. Photo shows Engineers at work putting heavy props under the fly-over bridge which collapsed on one of the trains after the crash
