Dec. 12, 1957 - 61 Killed and 200 injured in Lewisham Rail Disaster.: 61 people were killed and more than 200 injured last night, when two packed rish-hour trains crashed in the fog at Lwesham, South-East London, last night. The rearing wreckage of the trains smashed into a viaduct carrying another railway line and brought the viaduct carrying another railway line and brought the viaduct down onto the wreckage.
