Feb. 29 Lausanne/Switzerland: Watchman against suicide: Joel is the name of a well-known watchman against suicide at Lausanne in western Switzerland. Joel is watching at a high pedestrian bridge, which is attracting suicide-endangered persons (picture). As every year, Joel began his watching-job at christmas-time. However, this year Joel decided to stay longer even as he got into troubles with policemen of Lausanne, who wanted him to hinder to build up a little hut on the bridge during the third week of January. Joel's peaceful action is sustained by friends and a lot of citicens from Lausanne fell sympathy to his work
