Aug. 08, 1962 - A 400 years old bet was repeated and won: by 30-year-old coach-builder Helmut Glatz (GLATZ) of Villingen (VILLINGEN) in the Black Forest. Like once his guild-frater, a famous Villingen wheel-maker, he produced within 24 hours a coach-wheel pushing it to the 12 miles distant Rottweil (ROTTWEIL), consuming up there its purchasing value in the equivalent of ten US dollar and pushed the wheel then back to Villingen. Enthusiasticcally welcomed by the population of Rottweil he met this his destination much earlier than expected. After a two-hours-lunch-rest he started homewards. Photo shows Helmut Glatz (right) at his arrival in Rottweil
