May 05, 1968 - Sir Frederick Crawford has Passport Confiscated.: Sir Frederick Crawford, 62, a former Governor of Uganda, and one of the top men of the South African mining and finance group, Anglo American Corporation, had his passport confiscated when he arrives at London Airport. The Home Office authorized the action on the grounds that Sir Frederick whose home is in Salisbury, Rhodesia, is an active supporter of Mr. Smith's Government. He will be given special documents so that he can return to Salisbury but without the passport he will not be able to travel anywhere else in the world. Photo shows this picture of Sir Frederick Crawford and his wife - was taken on the occasion of their wedding in Laussane, Switzerland, in 1962
