Aug. 08, 1989 - Summery snowball battle in Switzerland. After weeks of hot and sunny weather, temperatures dropped suddenly on August 1st in Switzerland. Tourists in the alpine resorts were then surprised with 30 centimeters of snow. As our picture from the Fluela pass in Eastern Switzerland shows, some of them enjoyed the sudden winter climate and performed a first snowball battle of the winter season 89/90
