Oct. 10, 1990 - Fences against avalanches: The less trees there are high up in the mountains the bigger the danger of avalanches in the alps. To prevent snow drifting in the bare regions of St. Antonien in the Grison Alps a large number of fences was erected just above the village. The inhabitants now hope to get through the winter without any unfortunate incidents
