Liesl Karlstadt with statue of Karl Valentin, comic actor
Apr. 24, 1953 - A Monument for Karl Valentin is demanded by the friends of the late great Munich comic actor. On Friday (April 24th) they held a Karl-Valentin - Festival in Hotel Bayerischer Hof where a large picture of Valentin painted by the cartoonist and sculptor Franciska Bilek was auctioned for the Karl - Valentin - Monument - Fund. Picture shows Liesl Karlstadt Valentin's companion and partner for long years handing over a flower-pot to the picture of her master. This is a scene which might be thought out be Valentin himself
