Lieutenant General Sir Chandos Blair, James Callaghan

Jun. 06, 1975 - Lt. Gen. Blair back from Uganda.: Lt. Gen. Sir Chandos Blair and Major Iain Grahame, who went to Uganda to deliver an appeal from the Queen to President Amin appealing for clemency for Mr. Dennis Hills, the British lecturer under sentence of death, arrived back in London today after their mission had failed. President Amin has said that unless Mr. Callaghan, the Foreign Secretary flies out to Kampala within 10 days. Mr. Hills would be shot. Mr. Callaghan met the two envoys at Northolt this morniing, before he flew to Luxemborg. Photo shows Lt. Gen.
