Linda Thorson, new Avengers actress, and Patrick Macnee
Oct. 10, 1967 - Canadian Actress For New Avengers TV Series. A new nine-week series of ABC's The Avengers goes into production, at the Elstree Studios of Association British Productions. This new series will be seen on British TV sometime in 1968. Following Diana Rigg and Honor Blackman as partner to Patrick Macnee, who has been playing John Steed since the programme started in 1961, is 20-year old Canadian actress, Linda Thorson, who has just left the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
