Liner Queen Mary, last Cowes Week before being sold
Aug. 08, 1967 - The queen Mary's last cowes week. Between now and september 16, when she makes her last Atlantic voyage, there are going to be a number of farewells to the old queen, the 31-year old Queen Mary that is. Yesterday, for instance, was her last cowes week, and this is therefore positively the last annual picture of the liner among the yachts in cowes roads. The old queen also said farewell to Southampton earlier than expected, because of the tungsten's overtime ban. So the 1, 200 passengers had to take a ferry to France to catch their ship
