Aug. 08, 1966 - The liner Queen Mary goes into dry dock at Southampton.: The liner Queen Mary went into dry dock at Southampton today for underwater cleaning. They will also check to find the cause of vibration which has affected her on her last two voyages to New York. There are theories that the trouble was caused by barnacles accumulated while the ship was laid up during the seamen's strike.
