Lise Hilboldt and Lillian Silverstone appear in Astor series
Mar. 03, 1981 - Two American Actresses join the cast of BBC's Nancy Astor series: Two American actresses have joined the cast of Nancy Astor, the BBC's major nine part drama series, playing the sisters of the American woman who became Britain's first woman MP. Lillian Silverstone plays Irene Gibson, Nancy's elder sister, who became the prototype of the famous Gibson Girl'. And Lise Hilboldt, plays Phillis, Nancy's younger sister, who came with her to England and conquered Edwardian society. Lisa Harrow plays Nancy and James Fox plays her husband, Waldorf Astor in the series. Filming for the series will begin in Richmond, Virginia in early June and the programme will be shown on BBC-2 early next year.
