Feb. 28 Little Nigger goes to horse shows in the family car; When 5 year old David Evatt of Crawley Down, Sussex, takes his pony Little Nigger to compete in a horse show, the pair of them travel in the family's 8 hp. Baby car. They have been doing this for nearly three years now, when, on one occasion the horse box due to take them to an important show, broke down and the family car was used as an emergency. David has been riding since he was 12 months old. On his first birthday his parents presented him with Little Nigger a miniature through bred Shotland, 9.2 1/2 hands high. The pair have grown up together and are inseparable. They took part in their first show when David was 18 monghs old, and since then have won 68 trophies including a rosette presented to him by the Queen last year at the Richmond Royal Horse show. David can claim to have riding in the blood for both his parents are well known point to point riders and have won many prizes both here and on the Continent. Little David Evatt, aged 5, takes a jump in fine style on Little Nigger'. David has been riding since he was a year old and his pony has been his inseparable companion ever since then
