Lockheed TriStar with Rolls Royce engines in flight, Luton
Aug. 13, 1972 - August 13th, 1972 - Lockheed TriStar on demonstration flight. The Lockheed TriStar, with its Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, is here for three days of demonstration flights with Britain's biggest holiday airline, Court Line Aviation. Court Line have ordered two 440-seat TriStars with three more on option and will be bringing it into service, the first airline to do so in Europe, next spring when it will operate exclusively for the UK's number one tour company, Clarkson's Holidays. The TriStar, which is also expected to be ordered by BEA, today gave a demonstration flight at Luton.
