London couple marry in Russian costume
1959 - Londoners wed in Russian costume.: Two Londoners - 24 - year old Kathleen Pierce, a language teacher at Woodberry Down Comprehensive School, Finsbury Park, and 29 - year old Bill Martin, a carver and sculptor, of Kentish Town, were married at Islington register office today, wearing Russian costume.
