Jun. 06, 1968 - Lord Christopher Thynne Arrested: Lord Christopher Thynne, 33, who was married in the Queen's Chapel, Marlborough House, yesterday, was arrested at Heathrow this afternoon as he was leaving for Majorca on his honeymoon. He was later charged at West Drayton police station with being in unlawful possession of 37 amphetamine tablets. He was released on 250 bail to appear before Uxbridge magistrates on July 1. The arrest was made by a detective after Lord Christopher had been interviewed by customs officers. His wife, formerly Miss Antonia Palmer, 27-year old daughter of the Queen's Lady-In-Waiting, Lady Abel Smith, went to the police station with him. Later they were understood to be returning to the Airport to fly to Majorca. Lord Thynne, younger son of the Marquis of Bath, had a reception for 500 guests in St. James's Palace after yesterday's wedding. The Queen was among them.
