1960 - From London, A Garland For The Countess Their Excellencies The Earl Mountbatten Of Burma And Countess Mountbatten Were Recently The Guests Of His Highness The Maharaja Of Bikaner During A Three-Day Visit To The Rajputana State In Central India. Politics Were Left Behind The Party Relaxed For A Round Of Duck And Grouse Shoots, Informal Luncheons On The Terrace Of The Summer Palace, Sightseeing Trips And Showing Of The Maharaja's Films Of His Hunting Expedition In Africa. The Only Official Ceremonies Were A Durbar In The Palace At Lalgarh, When The Governor General Invested In The Maharaja With The Insigia Of Knight Grand Commander Of The Most Exalted Order Of The Star Of India, And A Full-Dress Parade Of The Bikaner State Forces.
