Lord Lambton, Conservative MP

May 05, 1973 - Lord Lambton Resigns From The Government: Lord Lambton the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence for the Royal Air Force, today resigned his position in the Government. In a letter to the Prime Minister Lord Lambton gave his reasons as health and personal. He succeeded to his father's title as Earl of Durham in 1970 and then relinquished that title. He fought the last General Election as Lord Lambton, but there have been strong moves in the Commons to force him to relinquish this title. Photo shows This picture of Lord Lambton was taken in 1968
