Lord Mancroft resigns from Norwich Union board

Dec. 12, 1963 - Directors meet to discuss Mancroft storm: Directors of the Norwich Union insurance group held a four hour meeting at Norwich last night to discuss the resignation of their Jewish Director Lord Mancroft. Lord Mancroft resigned from the board after pressure had been put on the company by Arab nations who threatened to discontinue business with them because of Lord Mancroft's connections with Israel. As a result of his resignation the Norwich are said to have lost millions of pounds worth - some estimates put it at 14, 000, 000 of Jewish business.
