Aug. 08, 1959 - Lord Montague holds his annual three-day jazz festival at Beaulieu: Beaming happily among hundreds of teenagers jiving and trampling over his lawns at Beaulieu Palace was Lord Montague and his wife. It was the second time of his annual three-day jazz festival. It is being organized an a commercial basis where thousands of jazz fans pay 12/6d. to keep Beaulieu Abbey going. This was the 32-year-old Peer's third jazz festival at his Beaulieu home in the New Forest. Photo shows the queen's cousin, the Hon Gerald Lascelles, sitting beside Lord Montague, and takes pictures for his album
