Aug. 08, 1959 - Lord Montague holds his annual three-day jazz festival at Beaulieu: Beaming happily among hundreds of teenagers jiving and trampling over his lawns at Beaulieu Palace was Lord Montague and his wife. It was the second time of his annual three-day jazz festival. It is being organized an a commercial basis where thousands of jazz fans pay 12/6d. to keep Beaulieu Abbey going. This was the 32-year-old Peer's third jazz festival at his Beaulieu home in the New Forest.
