Lord Stokes, Chairman of British Leyland

Dec. 12, 1974 - I WON'T QUIT, SAYS LORD STOKES. Lord Stokes last night dismissed speculation that he would be forced to resign as Chairman of British Leyland when he returned from Cairo. He said: I have no intention of doing so. I am perfectly happy as I am. The company is not bust. We are simply in a cyclical decline and we will come out of it.
