Louis Armstrong donates money for fatherless children

Feb. 02, 1959 - Louis Armstrong gives 1000 Marks for black offspring.: Apart from his music which Louis Satchmo Armstrong brought to the Deutsches Museum in Munich on Saturday night, he donated other kinds of notes, totalling 1000 D-Marks, to Al Hoosman. Al Hoosman, ex-sparring partner of Joe Louis who lives in Munich as an actor now, is a helper of the needy and lonely black offspring of German mothers and long-since-strayed C1 fathers. A1 is boosman of an agency dedicated to assisting fatherless offspring of occupation troops. Satchmo had invited 30 black children to a private Armstrong tooting session in the Regina Hotel on Saturday afternoon
