Feb. 28 Amazing love-life story of a legless man, two girls in Bogus wedding in Australia; One of the most love-life stories of all time is now being heard at the Sydney, Australia, Criminal Court. Center of the story is 40 year old Eric Kelvin Mason, a chicken sexer and breeder who lives on a small farm at Nyah West, near Swan Hill, Australia. Eric Mason who is legless ran his own little harem with a rule of Iron and vigour which bore him 14 children. He has seven children by his legal wife and seven by his other two wives'. To give a name to the children he is expected to have by his third wife he instigated an amazing mockery of a marriage between her and his second wife, who dressed as a man for her part of the bridegroom. He pleaded guilty to charges of bigamously marrying Mayne Jean Guy on April 29, 1947; Falsely declaring at that time that his name was Max Edwin Clarke; Aiding and abetting Ruth Young to commit Perjury. Mayne Jean Guy (27) pleaded guilty to falsely declaring that she was a bachelor she is the mother of four of the children by Mason.
