Lt Charles L Prescott of US Sabre Jet that crashed in Suffol

Dec. 12, 1950 - US sabre jet crashes in village: one woman was killed and two men injured when a US Super-sabre jet fighter crashed in the Suffolk village of Kesgrave yesterday. The pilot, Lt. Charles L. Prescott, of the 79th US technical fighter squadron baled out by using his ejector seat, after trying to turn his burning plane, which was out of control, towards the North Sea the jet hit a garage and exploded.
