Commander Peter John Messervy, R.N. of Portshouth, shows his George Medal to his wife, Joan, and children, Peter, 18, and Gay, 13, in the quadrangle of Buckingham Palace, London, today, October 26, after receiving the decoration from Queen Elizabeth at the first of series of Five Autumn Investitures. Lt. Commander Messervy was decorated For Great Gallantry in removing six live torpedoes found in a sunken Japanese Submarine in Singapore roads in June last year
