Jul. 07, 1957 - Guarded statement: Queen Elizabeth will visit the Jamestown festival, Virginia, when she comes to the united states in the fall. A highlight is the old world pavilion in which the British government has installed a 40, 000 exhibit in an area of 6, 500 square feet. it tells the story of Jamestown's beginnings 350 years ago and the history of British colonization since. Picture shows Mr. Leslie rowden, manager of the old world pavilion, prepares to remove the magna carta, an exhibit at the pavilion, from its case as two guards stand by. The document, marking the beginning of English constitutional law, was sent out in 1297 by king Edward i to the Duke of Lancaster in confirmation of the first charter issued by king john in 1215. It is normally kept in the public record office in London
