Mahalia has been a hot gospeller for 30 years - and has sung Hymns with a bounce - the Pres. Kennedy. She intends to finance her project for a Baptist Chapel in Chicago, with her tour. Her records have topped the million mark - she has filled the Carnegie Hall, and drawn 21, 000 to a single concert. She says she tries to convert her audience by singing - instead of preaching.
