Oct. 10, 1957 - B.B.C. television stops Malcolm Muggeridge -Interview cancelled to Article on the Queen: Malcolm Muggeridge was to have appeared in the B.B.C. television Program me Panorama this evening in connection with an article published in the American Saturday evening post entitled Does England really need a Queen ? the article has been described in some papers as an insult to the Queen. the B.B.C. said late this afternoon that the decision to interview Muggeridge on T.V. had been reconsidered and they had decided not to give further publicity to a matter which in their opinion has had enough.
