Malvina Jackson, beauty queen of Loge

Aug. 12, 1964 - In the midst of the Loge Festival from August 1st to the 30th, the traditional pilgrimage of St. Fiacre was today. The pilgrimage celebrated the little chapel that St. Louis had built in Loge that is dedicated to St. Fiacre, the patron saint of gardening and horticulture. it was celebrated today with a solemn mass outdoors, that was preceded by a procession of fair young women, fanfare, the queen of Loge, horticulturists, cooks, and salesmen. here is the 18 year old Queen of Loge for 1964, Miss Malvina Jackson, holding her royal scepter with a rotisserie chicken pinned to the top of it
