Man hijacks US plane, finally lands in Argentina

Feb. 25 The Most Recent Hijacking. From US To Argilia. Buenos Aires, July 4th: A strange US citizen Robert Lee Jackson 36, hijacked at Monterrey, Mexico, a Braniff plane (Boeing 707) and after receiving 100, 000 dollars he freed some 100 passengers before forcing the crew at gunpoint to leave for Lima, later Brazil, and finally to Argentina. At Ezeiza airport after dramatic circumstances and after promising not to return to the US he freed the exhausted crew and its captain after 3 days of travel. He was accompanied by a Guatemalan girlfriend with whom he planned to go to Argelia and with the money he thought to obtain in Argentina too where he asked for 250, 000 dollars for the liberation of the crew and the plane, but the authorities did not negotiate with him.
