Designed and manufactures by the Falk Corporation of Milwaukee, for Allis-Chalmers Hydro Turbine division, it weighs 288 tons. The speed increaser will provide 33, 800 horsepower at 514 rpm to drive a generator producing approximately 20, 000 KW. Eight such units for the Arkansas River project being constructed by the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers are being built
