1960 - 4-11-60 Frank has a passion for clocks so he has made himself a Clock Coffin Seventy four year old ex-Coldstream Guardsman Frank Bromley of The Butts, Belper, Derbyshire is fanatical for clocks he has collected them all his life. Now he has 120 grandfather and grandmother clocks worth £1, 500 all over his house. Now Frank says he intends to be the only man in Britain and probably the world to be buried in a clock. He has constructed himself a coffin shaped like a grandfather clock. Frank and his wife ex-ballet dancer Ada said that they had moved 43 times during their married life each time just to make room for more clocks.
