Nov. 11, 1970 - Hobby of An American Soldier: Weaving Carpets It is not a common hobby.. Lyndon Keith Johnson US-soldier - stationed at Frankfort at the moment - is practising. The GI who in the meanwhile got rather popular among experts weaves wall-hangings which were noticed at the last Frankfort Fair in the hall The good form'. The key-note of his works are the nature and the peace. So it doesn't take wonder that one of his most beautiful works which can be seen at the Zurich-Gallery in Frankfort, FRG, at the moment has the title The Force of Together'. When he has finished his period of service in the FRG he will e going to open an own weaving-studio at his homeland California; till then his superiors will profit by his ambitions as well. Not long ago Johnson designed a poster for the 5th US-Corps demonstrating the dangers of drugs. OPS: L.K.
