Marble championships
1953 - Marbles championship held at Tineley Green.. the annual good Friday marbles championships were held this morning at the village of Tinsley Green, on the Surrey-Sussex boarder. The contest dates back to Armada days when two village sweins competed for the hand of a maiden in a game of marbles..
