Feb. 02, 1972 - Casanova 70, the latest film of Marcello Mastroianni - every woman's Ideal latin lover, and one of the most popular film stars on the international scene today, was the obvious choice to play in Joseph Levine's Casanova 70 directed by Mario Monicelli. Portraying a contemporary Casanova, Masstroianni is a far cry from Don Juan of history. Casanova as interpreted by Mastroianni is not a male aggressor, but the victim of the women he pursues. He is James Bond, Walter Mitty and H. Harold Clifford rolled into one, herself hero of the boudoir.
