Oct 26, 1978; London, UK; Five hundred of London's bright young things, whooped it up in the style of the 1930s in the elegance of the ballroom at the Park Lane Hotel. White tie and tails were in the evidence, slicked-down hair and patent shoes, with monocles to complete the men's attire. Ladies wore dresses in the 30s style with beads and pearls and long cigarette holders to complete the effect.
