Jan. 01, 1981 - 19-year old Company Director Howard Clavert meets Mrs. Thatcher at No 10: Company Director Howard Clavert, 18, cancelled a business trip to Paris yesterday to attend a meeting with the Prime Minister at NO 10. Howard was one of the Stop Brains invited by Mrs. Thatcher to adviser her how the Government can help small business to expand. Howard hit the headlines with his prize winning invention which should make him a rich man. It took him two years to perfect his pocket exerciser which will go on sale nest year. The project was part of his A Level studies, is designed so that every part of the physique, from the body-builders bulging biceps to the fashion model's ankle, can be exercised. He is a director of the firm founded by his late father, Bert, a former printer who invented a special printing adhesive process, and sells the Company's computer software. It has offices in London, Paris, and New York. His mother Mrs. Rita Calvert says that Howard is a sort of microchip off the old block, she is the company director.
