Oct. 10, 1967 - Callas in hiding in a Dutch castle: It is no secret that for sometime now the famous and temperamental and tempestuous opera star Maria Callas has disappeared not only from the stage but has also turned her back on the limelight of high society. The star is still recovering from a nervous breakdown is staying very quietly in Holland where she is the guest of Thierrier van Zuylen and his wife at their castle De Haar near Utrecht. Callas is practising again and hopes to return to the world of opera in December.
