Sep. 02, 1963 - She's Queen Of Beat: 19-year-old Marie Guirron, a blonde from Birkenhead was the winner of a Queen of Beat Competition held during a thirteen hour non-stop Big Bet show at Liverpool. The show was attended by ten thousand teenagers who listened to 26 top groups. Marie's prize is a night out with the stars in Blackpool - a meeting with Cliff Richard, a Rolls - Royce tour of the illuminations, and a champagne supper.
