Aug. 08, 1954 - He will play at Tonight's concert to celebrate 60th Anniversary of First promenade concert.: It is 60 years ago today since the late Sir Henry Wood then plain Mr. Wood conducted his first promenade concert at the old Queen's Hall. Playing there that evening was Mr. Mark Hambourg, the Russian-born pianist and child prodigy at 13. He will play Liezt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 4 at the Albert Hall this evening to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Promenade concert. He played the same composition of that occasion.
