Thus American writer Carson McCullers sets the scene for her classic novel published in 1941, and now filmed by director John Huston, Elizabeth Taylor plays a single minded amoral army wife with Marlon Brando as her husband, the army couple who live next door; while new york hairstylist Zorro David doubts as their Filipino houseboy.
