Jun. 03, 1976 - Karate With A Difference Demonstrated In Paris: A new kind of Karate called Full-Contact was demonstrated for the first time with an international match at the Palais des Sports wear gloves and special headgear and are allowed to use fists, feet, head, and knees. This was the first time that Parisians had witnessed such a sport, arranged by the famous singer, Johnny Hallyday.
