1955 - The Mary Bell Murder Case - Pictured: An Unidentified woman walks near the scene of the Patch Waste Ground known as Tin Lizzie, where Brian Howe was killed. Mary Bell became notorious at 11 after being convicted of strangling two small boys. Mary Bell was sentenced to life detention for the manslaughter of 4 year old Martin Brown and 3 years old Brian Howe, at Scots cod, New castle. The police launched an investigation and Mary Bell was arrested on Saturday 25th May 1968
